My co-worker Sherri passed away from cancer, and we all devastated.
She had come back into the store. Her chemo was working, her hair was growing back, and she said she wanted to come back to work and then two months later they found the cancer travelled inside her and it was extremely aggressive.

So corporate just let Sherri go off our books. She has no insurance now. Hence why leftists don’t want your healthcare tied to your job. So now she has to apply for Mass Health but they won’t cover all the cancer treatments. She starts chemo next week & corporate knew that that’s why they let her go
Argh. Just found out one of my trans coworkers Sherri has pancreatic cancer. She’s 40 years old. And she came in and was crying on my shoulder. We gave her a giant group hug. She has diabetes too and her insurance company doesn’t know if they want to pay for it so she has to go fight them today.

I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them."

I feel sorry for anyone with nuanced, legitimate criticisms of Star Trek Starfleet Academy. There are so many rage baiting videos on YouTube that it smothers anyone who doesn't engage in angry, knee-jerk reactions.
