Visited the newly opened O-day'min Park at night. So far not too bad! Hopefully it gets well-used and well-maintained this winter as it will be the test run on whether it properly serves Edmontonians all-year.

PS: making out by the swings is pretty fun. 😅

PSA: Be careful when driving in the earlier darkness!
A white dog suddenly jumped onto the road when we were driving home from downtown tonight. 😱
It would have been a horrible night if it wasn't for my husband's fast braking.

My husband's 15 year old bike is now winterized and ready for snow and ice again! Studded tires and safe bike infrastructure are what helped him bike to work more often! Here's to a 2nd year of safe winter commutes! #yegBike 🚲

Today's 5🌟 #yegTransit review:
My AM/ PM rush hour buses and LRT is on time!
Re-filling my ARC card was a breeze.
The classical music is back at Corona Station & pedway is clean.
I filed a 311 report for a trash bin for a new bus stop, the ticket was opened promptly!

Call me a bit old fashioned but I love getting the print neighborhood newsletter! 🥰
Here in mine we get them 5x a year. In my former neighborhood the husband and I volunteered to help make it! If yours don't have one, volunteer to help make it. 👍🏼

Hear from the creators of Crip Trip, a new @accessiblemedia.bsky.social series following Daniel Ennett, a quadruple amputee, & his best friend-turned-first-time caregiver, Frederick Kroetsch, on a road trip from Edmonton to New York City in their beat-up 1983 RV. braaainspodcast.com/episodes/car...

My husband biked to and from work today. I learned my friend bikes halfway then ride the LRT to work. I took the bus & LRT to and from work. Given road congestion these days, the more people that don't have to drive, the better for those that need to.

My first #yegTransit review post-election.

The LRT was on time, the buses I took were only 2 mins late.
All audio announcements for upcoming stops were working!
Despite the detour, my AM rush hour commute was on time!
Corona Station doesn't have the classical music anymore.

While cycling my husband flagged that since Wellington Bridge closed, cars are short-cutting & driving too fast on this back alley by 132 St to get to Glenora Cres. Vert dangerous!

Temporary speed bumps can help divert back onto 104 Ave. #yegCC #yegConstruction #yegBike

Setting aside my personal opinion on whether people should work in-person at the office full time, choosing February is the worst timing ever. The days with the coldest winter temps with the most -30 and -40 days? Should have been summer or fall instead.

Our only car is being repaired this week. The husband is biking to work, and I'm walking bussing to get around. No stress for us and it's awesome!
Yay for good multi-modal infrastructure and 15-minute neighbourhoods. 🥰

To my fellow non-winning candidates: what did you do with your data?

I’ll be compiling and sharing mine again like in 2021.
I think community voices should still inform decisions, so I'd love to know the actual Canadian political norms about this!

This city needs more public washrooms.
