#JournalEditor Chronicles
I've been a journal editor for more than a year now and I often get very constructive and meticulous peer reviewers with substantive comments. A week ago, I got the shortest two-word comment to authors ever. 🙃

It is always weird to hear my own voice. This was my first podcast (where I was the one being interviewed) and it was fun! Should I have spoken more about my work? Maybe but in this kind of context, I think it is more appropriate to talk about the process and not just my "outputs."

#AlcoholIndustryTactic

This tactic is similar/adjacent to what Heineken does with their 0.0 ads in Formula 1. The 0.0 looks like an afterthought given the prominent display of the original Heineken logo with the red star.

Very proud to be part of this systematic review, which has relevance for anyone working in the alcohol and/or gender space!

Implications extend beyond alcohol, prompting us to consider how we understand and (re)construct gender in the context of interdisciplinary research.
Thrilled to have our systematic review of the differences in the way women and men have been studied in alcohol research over the past decade up online at IJDP - www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti....

#PeerReview As an unpaid journal editor, why do some reviewers agree to review but never send their feedback on the manuscript they agreed to review? As a peer reviewer myself, I know it is also unpaid labor but when I agree to do a peer review, I don't leave the editor hanging and waiting for it.
