I'm someone genuinely loves watching bad movies so I have seen some real stinkers over the years.

I'm often amused by what gets labeled as "the worst film ever made," especially by film twitter and Youtube reviewers.
Film Twitter bitching about Deadpool and Wolverine, calling it the worst film ever made which by that point, I had to say if people consider that and Free Guy the worst film ever, they should see more films.
Response went just as well as you think it would on there

You can't go to a karaoke night with a millennial anime fan without hearing their rendition of A Cruel Angel's Thesis.

And not speaking Korean never stopped a "Stan LOONA" account.
“I’m mad I can’t understand Bad Bunny’s lyrics because they’re not in English”

my brother millions of metalheads around the world have been happily listening to incomprehensible Finnish shrieks and Japanese death grunts since we were teens, you’re just boring and racist

To be very clear, that lady in the NYT article is not making any money with her hundreds of AI slop books.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.

It's an evolved MLM, and the NYT is helping market it.

Whenever people tell me comedy is not a useful tool in the face of fascism, their proof is always SNL.

SNL is capitalism-friendly defanged shit, of course it's not going to actually challenge the powers that be lol.

A lot of the suburbs around Minneapolis & St. Paul are getting hit hard, including people just walking and getting snatched off the street.
They also are continuing to be extra aggressive towards observers.

Like Carrie said: NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
I'm a Columbia Heights resident. ICE is still here, terrorizing, breaking laws, harassing people, causing chaos. Tell your family and friends. No matter what this administration's minions report: Nothing Has Changed.

Anyone who decides to read the book Wuthering Heights because they liked the new movie is gonna be very disappointed lol.

Watching CallMeKevin play Dead Island 2 gave me an idea.

If I had the money, I'd make a goofy, not buggy Dead Island-ish game, but the character choices are all old people trapped in a nursing home together when the outbreak happens.

Bubba Ho-Tep meets Dead Island shenanigans.

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

Not a free pass for corporate-owned slop engines.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

I feel like I discover a new streaming service every other day. Today, it's Zee5.

It reminds me of the days of cable where you'd be channel surfing and land on some random channel you and your friends have never heard of.

Job offer!!
I’m helping a PBS series look for a social media manager/content creator for an upcoming promotional campaign. The start date is ASAP, and a project timeline that currently goes to July.

This is for a series on American Muslim history, so candidates with cultural familiarity preferred!

I love BG3, but I don't think I want a series for it lmao.

Maybe I'm weird. I just don't have any interest outside of playing it and interacting with fandom.

Reposting this commission of my character Michaeleen by @josediaz-art.bsky.social because I love it so much! She's one of the leads in my new pilot script.

I also wanted to add some tags.

There seems to be a weird tumblr scam where you'll get messages from people offering to do commissions for you.

They all have similar art and prices. They also have reblogs disabled, which seems odd to me. I imagine it's so nobody sees it and goes "Hey, that's my art, not yours" publicly.
