I just got my royalty statement for The Actual Star for the first half of 2025. Four years after publication, it sold 492 new copies, for a take-home royalty payment of $425.46 USD.

If an artist is brusque with you when you inquire about rights/payment for their work, please understand it’s because we’ve been exploited, disrespected, ghosted, baited, and promised “opportunities” only for them to evaporate, so, so many times over the years. We’re bitter. We have reason to be.
