Fast and flexible joint fine-mapping of multiple traits via the Sum of Single Effects model
We introduce mvSuSiE, a multi-trait fine-mapping method for identifying putative causal variants from genetic association data (individual-level or summary data). mvSuSiE learns patterns of shared gen...

📣 Latest from the lab: Performance of deep-learning-based approaches to improve polygenic scores www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Its thought deep learning will substantially improve PGS but the reality is MANY have tried but no/little gain has been seen so far. Here we report our negative results.

This long-shot paper aimed to assess whether common GWAS pipelines are reaching their limits for prediction purposes. The review process was lengthy and painful. We're curious to see how it will fly! All comments are welcome! www.cell.com/hgg-advances...
Polygenic risk score prediction accuracy convergence
Polygenic risk prediction has the potential to transform the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of many common human diseases. However, the timescale and breadth of this transformation is partly unk...

Nice! Add a special relatedness matrix for cross-chromosome correlations to estimate the extra heritability due to assortative mating. Much larger contribution for educational attainment than for fluid IQ.
