Great day in London. Took some time for CPD for me - and feeling refreshed and inspired.

Very touched to receive these beautiful flowers from a headteacher at a local school yesterday. A gesture of support at the end of a difficult week which I really appreciated. So kind.

We have spent this week as a school community remembering our wonderful Year 11 student, Ryan, who will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our thoughts and support remain with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Gorgeous gift my from my Art department who ran a staff wellbeing session last night. Mulled wine, chat and creative fun. Just what people need.

None of my staff are on @bsky.app yet so I can post this: everyone is exhausted and we still have two weeks to go. So planning to make and deliver hot chocolate with marshmallows to all staff tomorrow morning. Little surprise to lift spirits and thank them for all their hard work

An unhealthy society is a society that places too heavy a burden of expectation on a school system. It is not entirely responsible for education, and is not designed to solve every problem and address every need.
