So, completely random thought here, it used to be normal for game stores to have midnight releases of big games (I went to a few myself) but now that's a non-thing. I wonder what the last game to have a widespread midnight store release was?

The reason Line caught on was because of the 3/11 earthquake. Cell towers were overloaded and people couldn’t make calls. The app was deployed as a way to make calls using data / wifi.

I love it, and it's mostly because of the anime stickers.
That said, it is very archaic and broken. My partner and a few friends have lost their entire accounts multiple times because of the dumb way it ties with phone numbers.
I would still much much much rather use it than Discord.

Line is absolutely the worst messaging app that I know anybody is using. The mobile version can only be on one device and the desktop version can only be on one device, that entire awful platform is supported entirely, 100% by anime stickers, if it weren't for anime stickers, no one would use it.

Finally watched the last episode of Anne Shirley, maybe I didn't want it to end, but it's a really great show, one of the best of last year. I hope it gets a physical release.

So hear me out, I'm a big advocate of, you can say whatever you want in stand-up comedy but it had better be funny. So I watched the new Dave Chapelle comedy special and god damn, I stopped about 1/3 of the way through, not because I was offended, but because there wasn't a funny moment in the thing

I don't know what people see in 100 Meters (100M). It's not very good, it's too long, and it doesn't connect with the characters. Everyone acts like a robot. For movies about people who want to achieve greatness in their field, watch Blue Giant or Look Back instead.

It's absolutely incredible to me how Coke put out one of the worst received advertisements in history with 100'000's of hate comments for their shitty AI ad and Pepsi did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to cash in on it, this will go down as one of dumbest blunders in marketing history.

100M was....eh? Not really very good in my opinion, generally it just fails to connect with the characters emotionally since everyone is this stoic robot who talks in a monotone. When it comes to people completing a personal journey stick to Blue Giant or Look Back.

Okay, artists. Twitter can now outright steal your work, and unsurprisingly, the ToS was updated to SPECIFICALLY allow for AI content theft.
Grok can remove watermarks. It can remove signatures.
You can no longer justify Twitter with "but my audience..."
