Watched The Invasion of the Bodysnatchers from 1978. The one with Donald Sutherland and a young Jeff Goldblum. Surprisingly good, solid acting, light on exposition so you get to learn by watching, not listening. Amazing VFX for the time. Solid 8/10.

I've started going back and watching old films recently, in an attempt to break me from the constant buzzing in my head from modern cinema. This week, I watched the original Planet of The Apes from 1968. I remember watching this on TV as a child. Against modern cinema, it still holds up. 8/10.

These guys are amazing musically and Lottie is hilarious at their gigs. Especially when she was on painkillers when she bust her leg. If you like orchestral electronic rock with killer beats and floor stomping crowd pleasers, you will love them. I do. #music #thebest #hybridband

Multiple UV Maps Made Easy in Blender! Add as many as you want!
I love Blender... It's been a very important part of my career in the past 5 years, taking over from Maya and Modo in a big way. I recently used it to model and texture a sea creature for a TV show. Yes, really! I did do the fluid simulation in Houdini, but I did all of the rendering in Cycles. Blender for the win! When I was doing the sea creature, I had some textures that I needed to place specifically on the face, but I also had other maps that were following the main UVs. I was going to bake out all the textures to 8k maps in the end, but I still needed to get a separate UV layout to make those final maps. This is, of course, not very hard to do in Blender and within 20 minutes you'll know how. Hope you like the tutorial and I'll see you in the next one!
