The cinematography was great, specifically the alien feeling wasteland vistas set to confuse us. The sfx were impressive for the time. The script works well, but the message of man's inhumanity being his downfall felt a little preachy. Still, seeing Lady Liberty at the end.. still gave me chills!

Distancing is the best way, as eradication is nigh on impossible. Like with Indiana Jones. I will forever try to force the belief that only three films were made. The first 3, in case you weren't sure. And only 2 Jaws films. Again, the first 2.
