i think the big hurdle for a lot of artists making the move from twt to here is perceiving less likes as less human engagement. but actually the opposite is true: you're more likely to get human reception here than on [the corpse of] twitter, because the high amount of bots = artificial likes

I was shown this exact situation yesterday when there was no likes or reposts on BlueSky, but I DID have traction boost on other sites from the post, and it takes less time to take off than Twitter
