Not actually funny.

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

Seattlites, check to make sure your vote was counted! Katie Wilson needs every vote.
1/ Seattle! 2000 ballots need signatures (updates or didn't sign)!! Tell your friends to check their ballot status here: info.kingcounty.gov/kcelections/... And if you have time between now & Nov. 14, volunteer to help cure votes: linktr.ee/Wilsonforsea... ("Ballot Chasing for Katie Wilson")

In my spreadsheet (which makes assumptions about fall off, write-ins, probably has mistakes, etc.), Katie needed to average 54.6% to win by a little over 100 votes.

Today she got 54.85%.

A friend says she needs 54.2% from here on out--will do my own math shortly.
NEW Seattle Numbers---

The Mayor's Race is razor tight.

Harrell 50.74
Wilson 48.86

A little over 4000 vote difference

Wilson just made up a lot of ground.

With another 56,000 votes counted in the Seattle mayor's race, Katie Wilson has narrowed the gap with incumbent Bruce Harrell to just 4,300 votes, and received just under 55 percent of the vote in the latest count, with perhaps 50,000 votes remaining to be counted. That's a solid turnaround.

I’ve been witchy as long as I can remember, but I wasn’t one of the little girls playing in mud and making potions. What I was is, ironically, something harder to put into words.

I lived my life in stories. They filled the gaps… #WitchSky

I feel like such a stick in the mud when the rest of the country is thrilled with the blue wave last night and I’m still biting my nails over the Seattle mayoral race (and also still rooting for Clark). #SeattleSky

In the PNW, fall keeps holding off. We have slightly chilly days, yes, but the forecast keeps saying “just two more days, and the temps‘ll drop dramatically with the rain.” Then only a slight dip. Sleeves are staying pushed up.
The longer summer holds its breath, the more nervous I am about fall.

No, the eclipse hasn’t happened a week early. Guess we’re getting some wildfire smoke up here in the PNW. #witchsky #seattle #moon

In-between dreams
I was told that my power was too much
and that it was the reason
men inevitably sought
to capture it, to own it, to control it.
“Such a shame,” she said simply,
and I sighed.

What else could we say, really.

Aw man. I just read about the National Guard. I go offline for a few hours and then this. My buzz hasn’t even worn off yet, people.

Back from seeing Steve Martin and Martin Short. Slightly tipsy and my cheeks hurt from smiling. Legendary gents and a classic show.

Apparently the prerequisites for my going out nowadays are 1)I must be alone, 2)It must be above 80 degrees and 3)I must be shiny.

Everything feels blocked. Much more than the solar storms, background-noise-turned-down feeling I described before. Like I’m turned down as well, disconnected, jammed, cut adrift from everyone. To be clear, I don’t have any messages-from-space-type beliefs, but it’s like an intuition signal jammer.

So when I posted about solar flares yesterday, I was actually feeling a “low level” version of that quiet but couldn’t find any corresponding flares at that point. But today I see this: www.space.com/astronomy/su...
Powerful X-class solar flare erupts from sun, knocking out radio signals across the Pacific (video)
Sunspot region 4114 has done it again! This time unleashing a colossal X1.9 solar flare.

(3) So now I wonder: what is being turned down that feels so much quieter? Is it something woo, or is my neurodivergent brain literally registering the absence of ham radio and short wave and whatnot? Or is it all connected/the same?

(2) I’ve noticed that some days feel like the “background vibes” have gone silent, like a TV that’s been playing imperceptibly has been shut off. Not ominous, not spooky, just quiet. The last two times, I noticed this happened a day or so after a large solar storm. (Contd)

Generally I use Bsky for politics and Threads for reading woo, but actual family and whatnot follow me on Threads so I can’t comfortably join in. So with that, I send another woo observation into the Bsky ether: (contd)
