Decided to go to a different grocery store further away because it has a better chance of the sidewalk being shoveled and I will be outside less.

I need someone to explain to my why, even though I'm running 2 humidifiers and drying my clothes over a vent, I cannot get the humidity in my house above 38%. My sinuses and nose are OVER it.

Even if you aren’t an academic. This helps in yearly reviews.
Unsolicited advice for academics: every time you agree to do something, immediately make a note of it in a single text file. Updating a CV takes time and therefore isn't something we do often, but it's easy to forget everything you've done. Making a quick note makes it easy to update your CV later.

one of the quiet legacies of the crew of Challenger is STEM education. as a kid, i visited a Challenger Learning Center, one of many established by the families of the crew, and one of my current UAA students is a McNair Scholar. they're still helping others learn about the wonder of our universe.

Spent about an hour shoveling 2 feet of snow from my sidewalk BECAUSE THE FUCKING BORO PLOWED ONTO IT. I SHOVELED MULTIPLE TIMES SO THAT I WOULDN’T NEED TO DO THIS.

I would have thought that the hotels on the north shore would have cleared their sidewalks. The parking lots and construction site did.
