Another nail in the coffin of democracy.
The U.S. House of Representatives voted Thursday to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, a major voter suppression measure that, if it became law, could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters and badly undermine U.S. democracy. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

The US is now run by corrupt criminals. Good luck trying to change that. Seriously, I wish you good luck.
No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks.

We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

My heart bleeds for them! They got what they wished for and now they’re realising how deep in the shit they’ve plunged the US and the rest of the world!
The story of 2024: “he doesn’t mean it, we can make him do what we want, we can get back at Dems, it’s going to be fine.”

The story of 2025: “oh it wasn’t fine. It wasn’t fine at all. That was a mistake.”
Business leaders all across America are freaking out that Trump's tariffs will kneecap their firms.

“There’s an overriding sense of helplessness” among executives. “CEOs are feeling stunned, and they’re not used to feeling like they don’t have good moves.”

Question for the ages!
Why doesn't Labour tax the billionaires?
March 27, 2025 at 1:08 PM
The US is rapidly changing into an oppressive totalitarian oligarchy. Land of the free my arse!
Over a thousand protesters gathered in Somerville, Massachusetts, on Wednesday to demand the freedom of Rumeysa Ozturk, a Tufts PhD student and Fulbright scholar abducted by ICE agents.

Ozturk is believed to have been targeted for co-authoring an opinion piece for her student newspaper about Gaza.

Labour in name only I’m afraid. I resigned from the party just after Starmer’s shitty treatment of Rebecca Long Bailey. I read him correctly from day one. Disappointing yes, surprising no.
March 27, 2025 at 12:51 PM
Lord Prem Sikka is absolutely correct in everything he says here. Sadly, nobody’s in Starmer’s cabinet seems to understand how a thriving economy should work.
My suggestions to the UK govt for rejuvenating economy.

Must boost purchasing power of the bottom 50% of the population, cut taxes for the poor, eliminate tax perks of the rich.

The Minister did not respond. Will the Chancellor change policy?

Pls watch the video.

The rest of the world is still astonished at this crazy decision.
America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here.

Starmer’s Labour Party are a fucking disgrace. Labour in name only.
Starmer’s changed Labour Party is now a rogue state, fuck the planet, fuck the welfare state, as long as the obscenely rich puppeteer obliging politicians to increase their wealth, everyone and the future of our planet is collateral damage.

Political donations are institutionalized bribery.

Donors get access to policymakers, shape laws, tax privileges, lax regulations, govt contracts/subsidies, honours, power.

Banning political donations is a necessary step for free and fair elections and democracy
