This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

Breast cancer diagnoses rose by over 300% between 1973 and 1992.

Was there a breast cancer epidemic?!

NO.

Mammograms were implemented for screening in 1976.

PREVALENCE is a function of being able to correctly diagnose something.

This is also about autism.

To bet the future of a country on getting a trade deal with someone who has just reneged on every trade deal the US has ever signed is wilful economic ineptitude.

I don't have an issue with the US placing tariffs on China. All western countries should be doing this. Putting them on democracies and allies with similar economies and things like workers rights it just so f*cking dumb though!!

Another big insult to countries, like the UK, who did exactly this and fought and died alongside the US after 9/11
Trump on NATO: "If the United States was in trouble and we called them. We said, 'We got a problem, France.' Do you think they're gonna come and protect us? Hmm. They're supposed to. I'm not so sure." (Literally the only time NATO Article 5 was invoked was after 9/11 on behalf of the US.)

So here's my question: If Russia refuses European peace keepers, how will Europe's grand plans work? It's time to send in troops now. Waiting is death to Ukraine.

Trump never had a peace plan for Ukraine. He had a plan for Ukraine's surrender, with a colonial resource grab. As Zelenskyy rightly refused it, or to cooperate in Trump's TV spectacular, the US has now cut Ukraine off.
That's what blackmail looks like.
That's what the world is up against.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

There is only one way to end the war in Ukraine and it is now up to Europe. That one way is to threaten Putin with boots on the ground - and back it up

No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

It really is time for Europe to step up and put troops on the ground in Ukraine. At the very least they could provide air support. There is no other way for Ukraine to survive long term.

I just find it so disgusting that the USA is now running a protection racket—trying to extort rare minerals from a country that has been attacked by a larger, more powerful invader for no reason other than its own expansion. It’s a moral collapse, and it needs to be called out.
