Don’t let a character hog the dialogue. If one gets all the flavor while the other says “huh?” just so the one gets to keep talking, you’ve got a monologue.

Example: I just made brownies with heavy cream. Good, sure. Lethal? Also sure.

Been diving into Project Zomboid multiplayer the past bit, too, with @gavinetc.bsky.social, @meepaca.bsky.social, and @colinmcc.bsky.social and I think "Okay, who decided to store the loaded firearms in the oven?" is the standout moment so far.
