Big Tech recently suggested our government should secure $1.5 trillion in AI debt to create data centers causing environmental issues, spike energy bills & take away our jobs.

One estimate suggests that by 2028, US AI may use as much electricity as 28m households

Big Tech needs $1.5 trillion for AI. This is the playbook it’s using to get it.
Inside the financial engineering of the AI buildout: Nvidia, Google and the rest of Big Tech are turning to Wall Street, vendor financing and private credit.

I'm a medical transcriptionist. Voice recognition (AI) is the norm now. In editing AI reports, they're not always accurate. We're being replaced by AI. Hospitals put a disclaimer at the bottom of reports instead of paying us to edit them now, and they just add a disclaimer at the bottom.😠

The problem with billionaires is they have so much money that tangible goods/capital exceeds wants or needs. Since they no longer have unfulfilled wants for tangible things, they start looking for power—in the form of politics. We must end Citizens United.

Sanders: The wealthiest people on earth are pouring hundreds of billions into research and development for AI and robotics. You think they’re doing that because they’re thinking, “Oh man, this is going to be something that will improve life for working people, for low-income people.”?

Charlotte will find out they're not going after criminals. They just harass brown people at work. they are still here in Evanston Illinois harassing us every day. It's really terrible.

We’re determined to confront these ICE thugs. Setting up networks of activists and distributing whistles to alert others.

One confrontation Saturday was literally around the corner from my house, where a Honduran American was assaulted, his car window smashed, until he showed his passport. Thugs.

Charlotte’s Web is all about love and acceptance. It’s one of the sweetest books ever, and still held close to heart by many adults who read it or had their thread to them as kids.

ICE calling that operation by the same words is disrespectful, disgraceful and shows how devoid they are of humanity

i'd say it did. the public put a group of thieves, vandals and extremists in office last november and they promptly went about destroying everything that might work to limit their ability to loot, steal and inflicting pain on the people they hate
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.

Mail-in ballot protections, once bipartisan, have become a GOP target in their war on voting. Now, a Republican challenge to mail ballot grace periods has made its way to SCOTUS; but I will be there to defend it and continue the fight, Marc Elias writes.

If Republicans thought they could score an easy win by suing a friendly state, they thought wrong. They didn’t count on my law firm representing groups that would intervene to defend the law — but tha...
