When your workplace tells the bored creative person to "just have fun" with the end of year townhall. (I had to do all 50 images for the slides in Paint because I am just a content gremlin, too lowly to have work access to Photoshop T^T But dammit I am committed to the bit)

I used to dream of being a millionaire, celebrity author. Now I really just want to have people love my books, a little house with my cat and corgi, and for writing Gaslight to be my job instead of something I work on around a full time job and two full time chronic illnesses. #writingsky

It has taken time but I'm slowly falling back in love with writing. I still have my moments of bizarre, out of place panic and anxiety but it is getting less. Already 12k down and now spirals into obsessive editing yet!

This just further strengthens my utter detestation for AI. I want absolutely nothing to do with it and we need it gone.
I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

Looking for motivation to write is a sure fire way to never get anything done. The entire writing process shouldn’t be painful, but you’ll have to force yourself quite a bit to get through it and that’s normal.

I haven't done anything like the bird app in years so quick intro. I'm an author working on my first book: sort of dark fantasy/horror but still plenty of humour. I worked with @steamberrystudio.bsky.social on Changeling. I'm probably going to use this mostly to celebrate hitting some goals.
