Pirated Code is only a single review away from this very important threshold. It would be super cool if someone who liked the game left a review and gave it the boost it needed...

Anyway, leave reviews for indie games! Especially queer ones! We need all the help we can get 🌈💖

I'm Yami, a colombian game dev aspiring to write the bisexual stories I would want to read.
I'm working on my first visual novel Euryphaessa Space Station and just released my demo after working hard all year 💚

i feel like there should be a person who's job it is to show up the first day of shooting, sit the director and the cinematographer down in a room and say "whatever you're about to do, it does not need to be that dark."

good time as any to say that i will ever only want to read books written by people, made by people, narrated by people, illustrated by people, and sold by people.

Dear A.I. defenders, specifically those want to write fiction: there is no cheat code. You want to be a writer, you have to put in the work. You don’t, you’re not a writer. You never will be. Continue pushing your button.

Editors in publishing that are cool with using A.I. for covers and marketing assets, A.I. for summaries of the book and other copy, ChatGPT for whatever, pushing authors to allow A.I. companies to use their books--babes you are next.

You're being used to dig your own grave. Pish back now or perish.

Something I definitely need to remind myself ❤️
Stop worrying that the pages aren't good enough.

If they aren't good enough, you'll make them good enough when you edit. Sometimes, you have to see a thing on the page before you know exactly what it is supposed to be.

The rights words often only come after the wrong ones.

When your workplace tells the bored creative person to "just have fun" with the end of year townhall. (I had to do all 50 images for the slides in Paint because I am just a content gremlin, too lowly to have work access to Photoshop T^T But dammit I am committed to the bit)

I used to dream of being a millionaire, celebrity author. Now I really just want to have people love my books, a little house with my cat and corgi, and for writing Gaslight to be my job instead of something I work on around a full time job and two full time chronic illnesses. #writingsky

Two stages of writing:

1) This shouldn't take too long
2) Oh no

Since I'm just about to work on one of her chapters, have a little bit of Tamara Quill, one of Gaslight's main characters. #writingsky

It has taken time but I'm slowly falling back in love with writing. I still have my moments of bizarre, out of place panic and anxiety but it is getting less. Already 12k down and now spirals into obsessive editing yet!

"What do you think? Never mind, we've already done this for you."

This just further strengthens my utter detestation for AI. I want absolutely nothing to do with it and we need it gone.

I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

Looking for motivation to write is a sure fire way to never get anything done. The entire writing process shouldn’t be painful, but you’ll have to force yourself quite a bit to get through it and that’s normal.
Let’s play a little game.

You reply with a writing rule or piece of writing advice you have strong feelings about and I will give my opinion on it.

I haven't done anything like the bird app in years so quick intro. I'm an author working on my first book: sort of dark fantasy/horror but still plenty of humour. I worked with @steamberrystudio.bsky.social on Changeling. I'm probably going to use this mostly to celebrate hitting some goals.
