Currently have 60 books to add to our traveling little queer bookshelf! Stocking it with locally banned / challenged and high interest LGBTQ+ books. These books will be provided to families to borrow at local PFLAG meetings. Will be posting a book wishlist soon.

My mgr & a homophobic coworker covered up anti LGBTQ+ hate group activity targeting kids at one of my events. I resigned.
They cut my access to g-suite so fast that they destroyed plans for 150 events & the training docs.

It felt good to finally tell my story. It was was handed out to GA legislators this week as an example of what WILL happen to GA librarians if SB 74 passes.

I have received 4 government emergency alerts from the town in January. All were nixle level basic info. This is an abuse of a system set up for actual emergencies. By the time we have a tornado nobody will even look at these. There should be a SET matrix of what they can text 60,000 people.

I just went into the local public library for the first time in ages. I’d forgotten how many cool programs exists for the community and how many amazing resources we can access there. Note to self: Don’t forget it’s a privilege to have a good library system! For everyone in the community.
