It's specifically mentioned about how the Drconids found out the alternate universe they saw didn't have mega evolution aka gens 1-5 while their universe 6+ did. The split possibly happened because of the ancient weapon.

Also the fact that the tech sector can crash the economy and make the public pay for their lies is another reason I feel like we shouldn't pay federal taxes just so they can't bail them out and stick us with the bill.
