Reached the Gozyuger episode where Toei had to legally scrub Maya Imamori's likeness in as many shots as possible. Some are cropped and some they are lucky that there's a shot where her character is obscured. Hate that they did not acknowledge her character just showing up.

Tokusatsu on stage and on TV work so well together in large part because it's basically a more financially—and perhaps, diverse—accessible form of theater. The rules are a bit different—the acting bigger, the props and costumes less concerned with hyper-realism of—and I think that's why it works.
The audience size here is also kinda nuts, the people yearn for Tokusatsu.

So - Oni Sister is the new GozyuUnicorn. Was wondering how they’ll do the eventual Gozyu VS Boonboom but they’ll probably just not have Sumino and Haruka not in any scenes out-of-suit, unless they do some fancy greenscreen trickery.
