so heated rivalry has the same issue i had with heartstopper - the flattening of characters of color (aside from shane, who is wasian) by relegating them to supportive best friend re: their white friends’ romantic and life pursuits while they themselves lack interiority

FAMU can't use the word Black on anything posted around campus related to Black History Month, to stay in compliance with Florida state laws against DEI. Black students can't use the word Black at their Historically Black College during Black History Month.
