I’m not arguing with no account defending AI. My grandmother lives in an area being environmentally compromised currently by an ai data center. I remember the color of the lake before they built it and the sludge I see in it when I go to see her. Shut the fuck up about “the benefits of AI” forever.

In the Emily Holmes' original "tetris can help reduce PTSD" study, what was found was that tetris is an activity which busies the part of working memory called the visuospatial sketchpad: imagining the rotation of shapes.

My art career came directly from this. I was not allowed to have a job or leave the house. This was the only way I could find income to hope for a future, since I enjoyed it, had the skill, and my parents were tech illiterate.
I will be dealing with the ramifications forever- but I'm a lucky one!

Similarly to ex-prisoners, there's little to no support for people who escape child torture and we are incredibly limited in our ability to survive (and not everyone does).
Many of us are deliberately barred from basic rights like learning to drive, socializing, bank accounts, etc- so we dont leave
