Hypothesis: films are getting longer as a denial of service attack on awards bodies. Eg. the Academy has finite time to watch all the films that get submitted, so this at the very least creates a cognitive bias for pictures that Academy members spent the most time with

I wonder if those AI companies that raise funds with zero details as to what they want to do are executing some kind of legal dodge. Like, maybe your CEO can't go to prison for misleading investors if you don't tell your investors anything material.
