I read the curriculum review's conceptual position paper, and, well, inject it into my veins.

English education is in good hands.

We know there is so much creativity in the history teaching world, but it is not always easy to have the time to search for sources, or find the latest interpretations. PATHfinders aims to bring a raft of fascinating materials to your inbox each half term to inspire your planning /2

I’m sorry.
Those of us who know, know that we almost have to work 10 times harder to be perceived to be good enough and yet people will still think we’re the token hire.

Keeping shining and sharing your brilliance! ✨

It really is perpetually disappointing that no matter your experience, your passion, or the work that you do, as a Black woman it is inconceivable to people right across the political spectrum that you could be anything other than a tokenistic appointment.

So I told them.

And now, years later, still nobody has asked me.

This is a good group of people bringing a range of perspectives to the work. Particularly pleased to see Funmi involved. Her input at CST conference a couple of years ago, and the paper she co-wrote were excellent. She’ll bring a lot to the review.
