Then I remembered I live on a decrepit island where nothing works.

Maybe, just maybe, I want to do a modal transfer to change from a train to a bus for the last couple of miles of my journey. You'd think you'd be able to do this in a city of 100,000 people.

I don't think it's a huge ask to have bus timetables line up with train arrival and departure times.

The UKs new 'government of public service' is looking suspiciously similar to the 'government of self interest' that was recently voted out.

At least we now know why Wes Streeting is such a poor health secretary. I previously assumed he was just ignorant and naive.
IMPORTANT: We completed an important project a while ago, looking into the links between MPs+the private health sector🚨

Our research has been quoted in lots of places, like this article ⬇️.

💙We have decided to bring our research up to date💙

There isn't really a meaningful "left".

We experience solidarity sometimes from trade union activists, and attacks from others. All the trade unions fund a racist transphobic paper (the morning star) together and close ranks when you question it. Labour are run by managerialists. There is no left.
We're entering day 3 of people trying to get Michael Walker to actually stop for a minute and listen to people from the movements he's denouncing (trans rights to defend ability to participate in sports and black feminists resisting police violence under the label "abolition").

Schedule the out of office in weeks in advance and quietly slip off into the night of annual leave without a trace is the way to do it.

Completely depends on type of building. A lot of Victorian/Edwardian terraced housing has bathrooms on the ground floor (usually to the rear). Flats above the ground floor will have a bathroom on the same floor.

Downstairs/upstairs bathroom dichotomy is weird and very suburban.

More detailed history of legal sex in Britain in this quoted thread
It’s more complicated than this. There wasn’t even the concept of “legal sex” in UK law before 1970.

In Corbett, the judge first invented “biological sex”. It was, of course, just a rhetorical device to perpetuate religious matrimonial law. There was nothing biological or scientific about it.

I did receive this early, I assume by accident, so have quietly sat on it until it was released.
