Building a future where 2SLGBTQ+ folks have the safety and resources to thrive in Oklahoma and everywhere we call home. www.freedomoklahoma.org
The occupation of stolen land is active, here in Oklahoma and beyond, and it has always been Indigenous Peoples who have always shown us the blueprint for joyous, resilient survival that tears down empires and rejects the colonial project.

Every year, as October begins, we celebrate 2SLGBTQ+ history month. Marsha Pay-It-No-Mind Johnson said, “History isn’t something you look back at and say it was inevitable.

There is a lot going on right now and Ryan Walters not being over our students directly is good, in this moment. But where is he going? What does it mean for the state, the nation, for our fight?

I don't know about you all, but I'm more of a movie/documentary guy myself.

Its National HIV/AIDS & Aging Awareness Day.

Each year about 500,000 people are diagnosed with HIV. Did you know 54% of people living with HIV in the US are over 50 years or older?

Right now the congress is looking to cut well over $2 BILLION in HIV prevention funding.

Beloveds,

Back-to-school ads mixed with articles about how to talk to your children about school shootings. How have we allowed that to be possible?

We are holding Minnesotans close in the wake the mass shooting that took 2 lives and left 17 injured yesterday.

Cheers to a Deeply Impactful 4 Years, Fitz!

You've been asking us to re-imagine what our work looks like.
Our individual roles, new ways to talk to one another, and what Oklahoma we'd want to live in.

A little while back Councilor Jobeth asked us to come out and table for another round of Tenants Know Your Rights training. It was nice to be in that room learning and sharing knowledge with neighbors.
August 7, 2025 at 6:38 PM
It doesn't matter that folks who don't live here think Oklahoma is affordable, especially if the people who DO live here can't afford it.

Have you hear about the Tenants Know Your Rights training happening tomorrow night? We'll be there!

I'm always grateful to share space with and learn from leaders across the country working towards HIV modernization. It was exciting to see so much of this year's programming be HIV-focused.

Its June 30th, but is Pride ever really over??

We're taking this time to recommit to advocacy and organizing across Oklahoma and within the 39 sovereign tribal nations that call this land home.

This is our petition to make 2025 more gay 👀🌈

Jim Obergefell held the hand of his dying husband, John Arthur, and carried their love all the way to the Supreme Court. In that courtroom, their grief and devotion helped shatter centuries of legal exclusion.

“I’m 77 years old. I don’t have time to wait.” Edie Windsor was quoted as saying in a 2018 article by Matt Baume for Them.

And she didn’t wait—she fought. She took down DOMA with the help of so many around her.

Liberation has Always Been Expensive.

From the commodification of our free time with no living wage in sight, to state mandated slavery through our carceral system.

We have seen a lot of 'Know Your Rights' information, which we are so grateful for...and we also know the way the carceral system works there are other things to consider.

So for Oklahoma we've got some rights and realities to think about.

"No C*ps At Pride" isn't clickbait. It's a call to Action, and for some it's a wake up call.

These are the demands of @dykemarchokc. This weekend we heard of cops at Pride directly combating members of our community.

Happy Pride, Y'all

Marsha P Johnson is famously quoted for saying "No Pride for Some of us Without Liberation for All Of Us"

"and the 'P' dont stand for party, y'all"
