Mostly Arsenal and some F1. If you're really unlucky I might start talking about norwegian tax law.
How much of the demand here comes from ticket hoarding sites that will sell on for profit? If there's any upside to this, it would be that they could drive themselves out of business.
Another price increase for the 2026 World Cup…

Sensing strong demand, FIFA raised the cost of many tickets to record-setting heights — the first large-scale implementation of its “variable pricing” strategy.

Say what you want about Verstappen. He is a joy to watch in races like this.

Had to watch the replay of F1 qualifying because of the Arsenal game. Very impressive by Antonelli on a day where Russell struggled. Piastri struggles again when it looks easy to Norris. Verstappen being nowhere might kill the three way championship race this weekend. Fun times.

I love Saka

At this point I'm not even sure the penalty would have been on target.
November 4, 2025 at 7:37 PM
That's such a dissatifying penalty to get. Don't want that kind of stuff in the game.

I wouldn't have too much of an issue with Trossard seeing red for that. It's stupid. It has no place in the game.

I know Dowman is the stuff, but one takeaway for me from that first half is that Merino is a good player. Not that people saying he's bad, or that he's had an exeptional half, but every time he's involved he just looks like the grown up on the pitch.

Been a while since I've been this excited for a F1 race. Lando P1, Max P5 and Piastri P7. Could be a shake up in the championship standings.

If the softs are driveable I suspect Lando might start on them. It's a long way to turn 1 and he probably won't want a repeat of last weekend.

Great to see big Gabi in the lineup. Would always love to see smaller Gabi in the lineup as well, but you win some, you lose some.

Trossard is such an enigma. Can be so ineffective and wasteful, but has a real knack for popping up with a goal.

I've long been of the mind that the so called "papaya rules" have been overblown. I may be wrong, but can't remember McLaren ever using the term this season, but still it's being bandied around. That has raised a narrative of McLaren's micro mangement where there might not have been one...

I like this phrasing, as if it has been decided by a commitee.

What is this? No club should ever pledge three years to a manager.

If he's being truthful, he shows how little he knows about football (or maybe even business). If he's lying, why? To stop the grumblings? Can't wait to see how that plays out. "We have decided so no use in complaining."
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has pledged to give Ruben Amorim three years to prove himself as a “great coach” at Manchester United.

Do you agree with the decision?

This is really good.

After reading the first paragraph I can't help but wonder if the whole fanbase collectively thought this in silence... Because I did.

Man City

Won 6 of the last 8 PL’s.

Have the worlds best manager, most prolific striker, best DM & now best GK.

Have the 2nd most expensively assembled squad (because Chelsea 🙄).

Average fee per player is £18.5m more than Arsenal’s.

No excuses for Arsenal.

More of this. Saturday game. Comfortable 2-0. No fuzz. No talking points. Just 3 points in the bag. Only downside is more injuries.

Champions league is a spring time activity these days. I may turn it on, but I hardly know when or who we play in the league phase. Doesn't really matter.
The sad thing about this Champions League format is that it could be fun if only 16 teams went through.

But if you can lose in Turkey or draw in the Arctic Circle and say, "Ah, it's ok. We only need three wins and two draws, we'll be fine," it's not much of a draw.

A little reflection after yesterday. I think we have to get rid of the notion that Newcastle are "hard" and "physical". They're violent, and the refs need to stamp down on it. No one tackles from behind anymore, but Joelinton did it in the first minute. Give the yellow.

On the calmer side, Gyökeres impressed me today.

I don't look at our team and think "who's going to score here?" I fancy Saka, Trossard, Martinelli, Gyökeres, Cala, Eze and Merino might just pop up with one. Today it was Merino.

Big Gabby is king!

And this is why I don't turn off these games. The feeling I have now is unbeatable. Will probably be top 3 feelings of the season.

I am so happy. 3 points and we don't have to go back there for a year.

The irony of Joelinton getting a yellow for kicking the ball away.

I wish we had Madueke now, but I think Martinelli could do some damage to Trippier.
