Running silent, running deep ahead of the new thing.
Dunkin Donuts advert was really odd. Strong Pet Semetary vibes. It was recognisably your old cat…but it wasn’t your old cat. Your old cat didn’t have those eyes. Those cold, dead eyes.

The adverts are really weird this year. It’s basically all AI and then something about potatoes.

I’ve sprung for the 99p US coverage of the game on DAZN even though I’m already flagging and I only really want to make it to half time to ensure that Bad Bunny is safe.

Could be worse, Forest are the woods

If you believe, as I do, that Leeds aren’t out of the woods just yet, you have to believe that Spurs are now very much in the woods…

There's not enough Mel C in 'Baby When You're Gone' the so-called duet with Bryan Adams. The one moment when she gets to open up her afterburners is the best bit of the song.

That's been bugging me for over 25 years.

The new TRK FC is here and today we're asking the question: Can Arsenal fans finally unclench?

Plus, various potshots, score-settling, a book review of forgotten Spanish stories and some housekeeping...

I know you. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Where can I find a 14min preview of the weekend's football across Europe that contains trace elements of Freddy Eastwood?"

A full weekend European preview awaits on TRK FC, including some stuff about firesticks, Pep Guardiola's scalp, Gary O'Neil's three from three and Freddy Eastwood. Oh, Freddy Eastwood.

When you listen to tomorrow's TRK FC, I want you to know that it took me four attempts to say, "Heidenheim at home," because I kept saying, "Heidenhome at heim," and I nearly broke down in tears.

Welcome to TRK FC (please stop calling it Truck Fuck), it's your bouncy ten minute football show with a special focus on @officialbhafc.bsky.social and Coventry City today as well as all the usual stuff.

Click here, give it a go today.

My 'talk about non big six clubs more, people will like the variety' policy is giving off increasingly intense doomed manager vibes.

One win in ten? What's wrong with Brighton then? That's what we're asking @andynaylorbrighton.bsky.social on TRK FC today

Also, just four wins in eleven for Coventry? Tense times, Simon Lillibury of the That Cov Pod?

Route One: Abraham returns to Villa…and what’s wrong with Brighton?
Tammy Abraham has returned to Aston Villa in an £18.25m deal that might just have an impact on the title race. And possibly the England squad too…Plus, what’s wrong with Brighton? They’ve on...

I'm out with three old friends tomorrow night, all football fans (Ars/Tot/Wes) and I said, "Shall we pick a pub with the football on?"

Not one of them was bothered. (I'm not bothered either, I was just trying to be thoughtful)

Is this a thing? Are people left cold by the new CL?

The new episode of TRK FC (or Truck Fuck, there's no fighting it, I guess) is here and it contains @danielstorey85.bsky.social , @sebsb.bsky.social, Begbie from Trainspotting and some nice stuff about Sheff Wed.

Listen now. Please.

Today's Monday afternoon watch is the engaging Fulham - Brighton tussle because Brighton have only won ONE of their last ten PL games and I can't, on first glance, really see why?

We're looking ahead to the weekend on TRK FC (which is pronounced Track FC and not Truck Fuck, thank you very much)

Are Man Utd a flash in the pan or can they stop Arsenal?

The new TRK FC is here (and you say it 'Track Eff Cee' and we're making out that we're leading with Spurs, but really the bulk of the episode is about Bournemouth with the excellent @Jon_Mackenzie.

So sad to hear about FBref. That website made me sound, if not good at my job, then at least less bad and certainly less reliant on LOTR-based similes to prop up my output.

FBRef was not only a brilliant resource generally, it made so much WoSo data available that couldn’t be found elsewhere. Absolutely gutting for fans, data nerds, and those of us who feel these things shouldn’t merely be the preserve of people with lots of money

I swear we could have kept Dru Yearwood if we hadn’t kept wanging on about him on the Totally Football League Show…

I realise that this will only be of interest to about three of my followers, but Southend are leading Eastleigh 1-0 and looking ever so perky. There are at least two players here who are far too good for this level, but I’m not going to say who just in case…

The new TRK FC (that's TRACK FC, btw) is here with some Arsenal chat from @tim-stillman.bsky.social , some minor concerns about Spurs and a full round-up of all the stuff you might have missed.

Watching the tape of the Spurs game, and I know they're missing lots of creative players, but I can't really see what it is that they're trying to do?
