Before & after, Dunn Canyon Trail resuming the removal of the old fencing. I need a pickup truck and a couple of Boy Scouts to drag about 400 pounds of metal down the trail and in to the pickup. There are 5 posts still remaining but THE INSECTS WERE ATTACKING IN LARGE NUMBERS so I ran away screaming

Rigging on Big Dalton Canyon Trail to move the smaller boulders and clear around the large boulder that remains. We got an early start so we have the rest of the day mostly free 🙂

A short video showing the newt habitat after it was cleaned up this morning. A human and a canine hiker passed us as we were going down, asked about how long Pavil Canyon Trail is :) I told him to goes as far as you want and described the poison oak and other conditions as one hikes ever Eastward.

Before and after, newt pool at Pavil Canyon Trail -- some of the tree trunk (foreground) was moved by someone so it was out of the way, Bryan and I brought the Sawzall to remove the debris and re-establish the creek and newt habitat boundary.

Before and after, the Rincon Fire Station rebar cutter wood was split, the carriage bolts were the wrong kind, there were no washers on the head side, and all three bolts were rusted. Bryan got new wood, I got new stainless hardware, it is a thing of beauty!
