Sure, Jan. No one cares until postviral conditions affect them. That's literally our point in suggesting a few protections might be somewhat helpful actually.

Do you think there is a connection between this enormous cover-up of the ongoing damage from Covid and eugenicists taking over our healthcare system? Are they in a hurry to kill off a lot of us before enough of us catch on to what has been done in the name of saving capitalism?

Alice Wong taught us that disabled people don’t just leave memories behind—they leave infrastructure. Lineages of care. Methods of collectivity, survival. She named the connective tissue that holds our communities together, even across death, even across the losses that come too fast and too often.

Brevetoxins are potent neurotoxins produced by certain algae and cause significant health problems (“red tide” is one form). Even if you don’t care about marine life, you can get sick and even die just from breathing air near a shoreline w/ brevetoxin-producing algae. Climate change will kill us all
Harmful algal bloom (HAB) spread across 20,000 km2 & resulted in the deaths of millions of marine animals, from at least 550 species

Scientists found a novel, significant brevotoxin-producing algal species, Karenia cristata, in the multispecies Karenia HAB—1st time brevetoxins have been found in 🇦🇺

Rest in power, Alice Wong.

A fierce disability justice oracle, storyteller, and now ancestor.

She taught us that disabled wisdom lights the future, and that our stories must never be erased.

We mourn. We fight. We carry her work forward.
Thank you, Alice. For everything you gave us.
“With so many marginalized communities, we’re basically the oracles…we’re the ones who see shit before it happens.” In June 2020, I interviewed Alice Wong for TVU before she lost her ability to speak. I asked her how she’d first learned of SARS-CoV-2. She began with the 2016 election of Trump:

Speaking as an autistic person who has lived among humans for over half a century: it never did. Never. You cannot point to any time or any place where humanity has ever had a moral framework. What we can aspire to and sometimes achieve is a *legal framework* that covers the worst of our amorality.
If the human community is not willing to take necessary action to shield children from the extreme, life-threatening harm of Covid-19, then the human community can no longer make any claim to having a moral framework.

Before 2020, I used to think that zombie movies were ridiculously unrealistic, in that there was no way that people would be driven by such selfishness, exceptionalism, and the denial of reality that they would allow themselves to get infected and wipe out humanity.

Well, I was proven wrong.
