Huge thanks to @csharpminor.bsky.social for not only undertaking a second Vintage Sewing Machine side quest, but also for his unwavering support. #sewing #Featherweight

Finally finished my first complex Celtic knot work piece. Hoping to embroider a slightly tweaked version into a black Demin jacket, if l can out how to transfer the design on to black fabric. This one l traced using a small Lightbox. #embroidery #CelticKnotwork

Sewed this fabric panel onto the back of my red denim jacket. I’m really happy with it and you can only see my sewing “quirks” up close 🤣🤗 #sewing #sewinggarments

First time ever attaching a collar - to my first ever jacket toile. The pattern has no instructions. Made lots of mistakes and learnt a lot. Fitting issues so will adjust the pattern and try again. It’s discouraging but l’m determine to get there eventually. #garmetsewing

"RemoveWindowsAI" is a script created by zoicware, available on GitHub, that does exactly what it says: it remove every AI feature in Windows 11. Do what you wish to do with this information. I'm sharing this because some folks are forced to use Win11 at work or other places for any reasons.

I guess I already knew beauty ads were fakey but now they’re fakey-fakey at scale.

Hey, all. Two weeks ago, I got the unfortunate news that my role was being terminated as part of a workforce reduction. I wrote about what I'm looking for in my next role, and I'd appreciate a signal boost.

The Queen Mary Harp (or Clarsach) dating from the 1400’s is one of the earliest examples of a Celtic harp, used to accompany Gaelic music). You can see it in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

If you want to push back against tech's encroachment into every corner of our lives, you have to read books. They're eager to create a future in which most people are illiterate and hooked on slop, a world without imagination or knowledge. Reading is resistance.

Gorgeous Babs grazing in the sun. Our 3 highland cows love grazing in the pasture all summer, but during the long winters here they rely on us to provide them with hay. They are BIG cows who eat a lot, so we'd be so grateful if you'd help keep us them fed this winter! donorbox.org/mmfs-2025-ha...

I first wrote this tune for harp over 20 years ago, and a couple of years ago retitled it and dedicated it to dear friend of mine. I have played and recorded it on different instruments but I do think harp is where it belongs. ☺️🌸

A beautiful traditional Scottish tune, played on my sweet 30 nylon strung lever harp. After all these years playing harp is not where I thought I'd come back to, but got to go where the music takes me. 😊

Looking for something else yesterday l found this old photo of my 22string and 30 string harps. I can’t remember where it was taken, way back sometime in the late 1990s #harp #blueskymusicians

Since many of us are cancelling streaming services, now might also be a good time to support writers and artists. Times are extremely tough for creatives, so why not buy a book, commission an art piece, sign up for a Patreon, tip your favorite creators. Everything helps.
