That doesn't sound worrying at all.
The UK is willing to put "boots on the ground and planes in the air" to defend a peace deal in Ukraine, Keir Starmer has said

The PM said the UK and other European countries were ready to form a "coalition of the willing" — a commitment to defend Ukraine militarily if a peace deal is agreed

I hate this hyperbole. They have died for Ukraine's right to join NATO. Russia's actions have been deplorable, but if you accept that NATO represents global freedom and democracy then you really have been brainwashed.

Lots of horror about the extraordinary exchange between Trump and Zelensky.

But this may be the new normal and it's ultimately what people in the US voted for. Hard right nationalist politics have no morals, only prizes to be secured and lots of collateral damage.

It’s time for Labour to get off the sidelines and tackle inflation, argues Fran Heathcote. In December the Prime Minister said the test of his Government would be whether it boosted living standard…

There will be recriminations on both sides after that, but what a derby.

Throwback to the 80s and 90s.

Everton save face and Liverpool go 7pts clear at the top. Think both managers will settle for that when everything calms down. #EVELIV #EFC #LFC

I really don't know why some are only just realising this. Starmer has never had any plans politics.

He wants to run the country like a Senior Civil Servant when what people want is conviction politicians.

Well, the Mirror joins the S*n and Daily Heil on the list of papers/websites not to visit.
Truly abysmal goings-on at the Mirror, as reported in Private Eye. Literally holding my head in my hands reading this.

The takeaways from this piece:

- Labour losing more votes to "progressive" parties than Reform, so why spend more time pandering to Reform voters.

- "Labour's intensifying focus on Reform" does more damage to Labour by giving Reform legitimacy. Damage to Badenoch is irrelevant.

The world is a mad place at the moment innit?

Kids being starved, pensioners being left to freeze, Palestinians being wiped out, Musk building an unholy alliance with fascists and now Trump threatening to invade Canada and Greenland.

Capitalism is eating itself.

If #LFC were going to lose their undefeated run, tonight wasn't a bad time for it to happen.

Hopefully, the bad performances are now out the system and we can crack on. A bit worrying how much we seemed to have slowed down though.

Szoboszlai's legs a big miss in the midfield.

Just finished watching the first #WWERaw on Netflix.

The matches were good, but there was that much filler it should have been sponsored by B&Q.

The opening with Triple H might have been the best bit of the whole thing.

Well apart from Rhea Ripley, who is boss.

So is a deficit after a massive financial crash. It didn't stop you clowns going on about it for nearly 15 years.
Former Conservative cabinet minister Damian Hinds on Labour's £22bn 'black hole' claim:

"Whenever you're a govt minister, ... on your day one or day two briefing you get told of [a] long-list of unfunded in-year spending pressures — that's not a 'black hole', it's a management challenge."
