Twenty years ago today, I lost one of my best friends. She was the little sister I never had, possessed an unforgettable laugh, and the namesake of my daughter. I miss her everyday but visit her at Arlington often.

I fought in an illegal war in Iraq. We were lied to about the reason, but at least there was a reason. This will end very badly in Venezuela, and anyone who goes along with it should be held accountable.

Don't get it twisted. Trump is having the National Guard pick up trash to debase them. He hates the military. He is incapable of understanding anyone who would make sacrifices for the greater good. He thinks they are suckers and losers, and he's treating them as such.

Trump claims to be the “greatest President for vets,” yet he and his administration have cut 30K jobs at the VA, eliminated the veterans crisis hotline, and now will kill vets that need urgent, life-saving, women’s care.
"Trump wants to strip those exceptions away. Under his plan, the VA would only allow abortions when a doctor certifies that a veteran’s life is at risk should the pregnancy be carried to term. Not health. Not rape. Not incest."

As a veteran, who buried multiple friends at Arlington, I can say that what the president has decided to do in LA, Chicago, DC, and elsewhere is a violation of the constitution and an unlawful order.

As someone who didn’t run from war and actually served in harm’s way, I know some true war heroes. This guy ain’t one of them.
