As a veteran, I think it’s important to mention that it’s not just service members but veterans that rely heavily on commissaries. Republicans are going to starve our troops, veterans, and 40 million Americans. All for Trump’s ego.

How awful it must to be a career general officer and get lectured to with limp dick cliches by a 45 yr old alcoholic former reservist Major.

Having fought in the last forever wars, I can say without a doubt that giving this (or any) president a blank check to wage war is a really bad idea.

I disagreed vehemently with everything that man said, but I’d die to defend his right to say it. Maybe that’s how we should approach this with each other.

There’s no greater commitment of our military than to the constitution. Though I left active duty in 2014, I’d still take a bullet for it. Several of my closest friends are still serving, and I know that they are fully committed to that oath. I wish I could say the same for Trump & the Republicans.

As a young AF Lieutenant, I escorted my best friend’s body to Arlington for her full military funeral. She died defending this country, Ashli Babbitt died attacking it. I can’t imagine anything that dishonor’s my friend’s service more than this.

As someone who actually served, unlike Trump, there couldn’t be a better image summing up how he feels about our military than what we saw today. Summon them with their uniforms and tanks….to do his yard work.

Amazing how there’s no political penalty for saying the quiet part (the thing we’ve been screaming) out loud anymore.

From the land of Lincoln, its great that we heard a voice of rational, reasoned context for what is happening in our nation. Proof once again that the party of Lincoln is dead—a Democrat had to echo his words.

I left the military 11 years ago for 3 reasons: mission creep, absence of family-oriented leadership, & the prevalence of “yes man” culture that valued compliance over capability. My friends that are still in are truly great, but I fear that the majority of the leaders are predominantly “yes men.”
