I'm not against the concept of forgiveness but forgiveness requires people to recognize they did something wrong. Conservatives after this will go back to advocating for the exact same systems that lead to this and demand seats of power. That can not be allowed.

It's fear. If he sends the police or guard to arrest ice it will likely end in a shootout between state and federal forces. He isn't willing to set off a civil war and is trying to use courts and hope for a change in federal leadership. In the meantime the occupation continues and lives are ruined.

While I agree with the sentiment I fear the guard will likely be used against protestors before they are used to protect them.
There is more than enough precedent for calling in the National Guard because they've been mobilized for far less than what ICE is doing.
ICE is terrorizing and killing people for literally no reason.
The Guard should have been mobilized.

While I agree with the sentiment I fear the guard will likely be used against protestors before they are used to protect them.
They raise and lower it at will. Last I remember they were doing a minimum 10% on all countries and upwards of 100% on some. Idk if they mean cumulative or total but regardless it's all arbitrary posturing. They think shitting their pants in front of everyone means they will win a trade war

It's weird to get up today and have to drive near the murder scene near 34th and Portland. It's on my route to drop my wife off for work and it just feels eerie.
