Above the awning of a pleasant looking wine bar, a banner with a picture the full width of the building has been hung. From a distance it appears to be a crowd scene with a Christmas nativity scene at the top centre. There's a river or pool stretching from the nativity stable around a section of the crowd. It's a very busy picture with what could be several hundred people in. At a glance, at least - the next images look closer to reveal some very disturbing genAI artefacts Closeup on a section of the banner. Here's a snowman wearing a top hat and red chequered scarf! How jolly! Except he has three eyes from two different faces, and teeth. Large teeth, with moist red gums. On the side of his head some brown furry material like teddy bear fabric is sort of melted in where an ear might be. Except part of the brown material is fused into the glove of the human appearing character next to the snowman, whose forearm is bent in an unnatural way. Some other people's faces and anatomy are melted or deformed, like in a dream where you can't quite make the face out and you're afraid to examine it closer. However the fabrics of their clothing is rendered in a very life-like manner A close-up on a part of the edge of the water in the large banner. A bearded man is seen waist up grinning as if he's half in the water. But there's a woman's face growing half out of the left sleeve of his coat and half out of the neck of one of the brown and white dogs around them. Except those are no dogs, they are nightmare creatures assembled from parts of dog and scenery. A stick held by a character out of frame swells and grows fur to becomes a dog's lower front leg. There's a very realistic looking bit of water worn granite forming the bank of the water Closeup on more dogs in another bit of water. One of them is made of legs but has a nearly realistic doggy face. The red peak of a baseball cap grows from its forehead and it's jaw appears to be dislocated. Another dog-thing disappears out of frame, it's taillegface is black and tan. The third thing has a reasonably plausible dog body with a head shaped like a gull, with human teeth in the upper jaw and eyes joined into the top lip/upper beak. The water has nicely detailed waves and splashes.

my tip for anyone looking for an electric heater to complement weak GCH/only heat one room - check the Dimplex oil-free radiators avail from Argos and others. The old range - without LED screen, only mechanical buttons - is out of production and getting discounted. cost me >£100 last year, now £70

Fun when you land and the plane taxis to the terminal and you see the Ryanair plane at the next gate has a polis car next to it and 2 officers getting in and the passengers must have had a lovely 5 hours from Tenerife to EDI with some unruly drunk fuckwit on board.

I watched the ep. of the BBC Girl Bands documentary on last night, and c'mon even if Girls Aloud said no to being interviewed for the show, how do they not even get a mention? Madness. The biggest girl band of the 00s and we get some sort of narrative it was all Sugababes vs Atomic Kitten.

In the UK and I couldn't find these in Settings even with a VPN. What worked for me was to click on @moderation.bsky.app where I was able to turn the label off

In Valencia, Spain, Las Fallas festival marks the arrival of spring in March. Each neighbourhood create a grotesque sculpture, a Ninot, representing bad things or people from the past year. The Ninots then get burnt, fire as a symbol of purification and renewal.
