I hate bios. Plenty of interests (music, books, tech etc) and curious about loads more but trying to keep news/political engagement here to a minimum.
Use ALT or I won't repost your pics.

thank you! i'm in the UK and had to look up "shortening" but indeed butter should do. i now wonder whether my earlier failed attempts could be something to do with my using baking powder (or self-raising flour) instead of only baking soda.

that's a good idea! i swear i'm not totally useless at baking, but bananas are always a struggle somehow.

Ok so that's the situation I'm in with 3 large overripe but fully usable bananas. I've failed at all my attempts to make a decent banana bread/loaf. Any foolproof recipe you could share? Although I'm tempted to look up something I can bake with banana slices rather than a banana mash.

Aesop's "The Crow and the Pitcher" was thought to be purely allegory for centuries!

Correct, that's what I meant.
But I don't know whether the return of unregulated capitalism is bizarre in itself. I'd tend to think not, but that's not a qualified answer and is subject to change.

the topic for me being the little that remains of what was a purposely public profile, some non-archived content being unfindable etc but I'll shut up now.

on a related topic, you seen the posts about www.popjustice.com/briefing/tha... and attempts to confirm that's Olivia Nuzzi? barely anything remains and the song hasn't surfaced yet.
That's Livvy alright • Popjustice
They say you should never judge a book by its cover and the same, sometimes, goes for songs. Well, meet Livvy. Livvy is proof that in some circumstances,

also the typical tip for any appliance.. electronics break easier than mechanical parts, so if you want them to last then good old fashioned buttons and dials are best!

RA Wilson's Quantum Psychology is on my to re-read list. Reality tunnels, emic/etic realities... some of the quantum science bits may be a little outdated today, but so much should be highly relevant, and even more so today than when it was written.

I'm amazed they still send updates after 7 years? or was this a really old update?! probably SW that's too bloated for a 7 year old TV in any case.

I'd love a dumb TV, I expect the TV to last 10 years+, so it's better for apps to reside on the satellite box, or just chrome cast from the phone or laptop.
In their absence, I swear by Sony TVs, at least they don't show you ads!

Ok a little unfair as fog was only one morning, and not entirely unexpected, having experienced an interesting landing at FRA in November some years ago.
