I would like to understand how I know the theme to "thirtysomething" well enough to have it on loop in my head for the past 24 hours despite never having seen a full episode of the show.

Per an excellent write-up I'll link to in the next post, these dudes are in the "will commit violence for peer acceptance" category of shitheel. Middle-aged white males are the folks they see as "peers" so loud disdain from that group completely undermines them.

Dudes, get out there and shout!
ICE seems to get completely flummoxed when they’re being yelled at by white men over 35. They kind of put their heads down and shuffle their feet. It’s like their kryptonite.

Pretty grim that Dustin Diamond's offscreen death became "Saved by the Bell" canon.

William Castle basically recreated a scene from 1929's "Tol'able David" in "The Tingler" and then SHOWED the original scene later in the movie, which makes me wonder if I've been sleeping on his merits as a director.

Have an idea for an ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK remake called LONG LUNCH where a guy is given 24 hours to rescue the President so he decides to go for a really long lunch and then have a nap and maybe catch up on his e-mails. Also, his pvr is a little full so maybe a "Below Deck" marathon is in the cards.

Tarantino once described his stepfather Curt Zastoupil "as in the Ramada Inn Presents Curt Zastoupil," and that's the first thing I think of every time I hear/read the name "Tony Dokoupil."

This wonderful piece goes live in a few days for everyone but if you’re able, it’s as good a moment as any to support FFC on Patreon. It’s home to some of the best and most essential writing on cinema we get each year.

Had a dream that Angel Studios made an RFK Jr biopic starring Gary Busey and there were multiple scenes of him licking milk off the floor.

I find the solo Penny Marshall season of "Laverne & Shirley" troubling, as if Shirley were Laverne's Tyler Durden and she went on Hallucinex to get rid of her. The fact that they don't change the title suggests Laverne could have another psychosis at any moment, causing Shirley's return.
