Yesterday, women and children from Ukraine Appeal Charity and Sunflower Supplemental School have performed at the historical Bletchley Park, in honour of the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2.

I posted an update over onto my fundraiser's page together with this week's steps!

Comes with a picture of the trike I have posted about before!

Yesterday I watched youtu.be/WSh7U3m9KgA?... again and I realised what seemed to always be at the top of my brain.

I can't unsee @andrewhunterm.bsky.social as the singer 🤣

This is the time of the year that I usually remind people who are okay with Adobe and Amazon, that you can get a discounted Creative Cloud Photography Plan via Prime Day.

But then I forgot that the 20GB plan I use was discontinued this past January.

The start of this challenge had a bit of a weird timing for me, since we just moved, thus I actually did most of the steps in the house.

But things will shape better soon, particularly since they just finished paving our walkway, so walking out of the house is a a lot nicer.

As usual Avery gets it. Particularly by spelling out what *isn't* (though it's often called) enshittification.

If I'm honest, I'm still not sure whether "evasive evitability" is the same word twice and am afraid to look it up

@trishyb.bsky.social was Ed as much as an enthusiastic player of Trivial Pursuit as he sounds on radio? 😅

So I decided that since I'm going to be walking a lot anyway this summer, I might as well sign up for this.

@trishyb.bsky.social thank you, now I need to find a way to switch my Audible account to the store where I have the collection or I'll never get rid of Ottery St Mary from my mind!

So I thought that £40 for two people for OsmAnd+ is fair, since they say on their website it supports family sharing.

But it doesn't look like it does support it? Either that or Google broke the family sharing system?

You know things are not good when your *Status* page is not loading either.

Estonia has the last surviving example of a British inter-war submarine.

That fact is a thousand times more interesting than this song.

Hey Canada! Somehow nobody contributed any entries for ipv6-in-real.life for your country.

Help me see if your infrastructure is more or less futuristic than the UK!

Okay one more post about this. I wish more games today had a "play by email" option.

Adult gamers having a hard time finding enough time and energy to meet up in realtime to play could *totally* use something like that.

Heck, my mother playing something like Royal Story is not that far off!

Hey I actually played hours and hours of this!

And contributed to the Wikidata entry for it because with its name it is annoyingly hard to disambiguate 😅

This. I'm with Liz on this — and I said that before: LLMs can be CASE tools that augment our productivity rather than hurt us.

(Unless you're seeing programming as handcrafting, which is fine, but it's the difference between a hobby lathe and an industrial plant!)

So my friends at @genkigear.bsky.social are celebrating their 20th anniversary!

Does anyone have a suggestion for connecting one of those silly Apple-proprietary SSDs that use 16+12 edge connectors to a modern laptop?

Clearly you can't connect those in an NVMe adapter, since they're AHCI.

Is there a more generic PCI-E to Thunderbolt adapter?

It feels like a lot of people start to have opinions about rewriting software and programming languages — I will point out at something I wrote a few years back.
