Book (recommendation):
A bit dated, but... very damning account of policy of, effectively, government handouts to corporations, and misguided monetary policy before and after 2008 financial crisis.
Sufficiently damning to take it with a grain of salt.

Governments have been over-promised on near-term usefulness of quantum computing - they invest expecting economic growth. To get a grant, academics are forced to work with clueless industry partners on pretend applications instead of doing fundamental research that actually moves the field forward.

I wanted to check the absolute values as well before reposting.

I hope I got that right: the reduction is from ~4% morality rate to ~2%.

So... just a solid cost-effective improvement to use as a policy prescription. 😁

The possibility that AI-assisted programming just "feels" more efficient is genuine.
You might be spending more time on tinkering with prompts than you save on coding.
