Looking for groups or resources etc to get biologics. Humira and others no longer effective, new drug is out but w/out insurance there is no way in hell we can afford it.

So there’s a woman on TikTok who went viral calling houses of worship asking if they could help her find baby formula for her (nonexistent) hungry baby and one of the few that offered help without reservation is the Islamic Center of Charlotte. I’ve been there for an open house and so proud of them.

Pre-ACA, I was a postdoc on an NSF fellowship at a university that didn't offer employment benefits to independent fellows. At that time, being a woman meant that my premiums were double that of my male counterparts. The extra cost came out of my grant's budget for benefits, equipment, and travel.

Boxes are being filled with photos and 'stuff' for the adults to decide what they want. All else? Prob to Goodwill. It will feel so good to not be hoarding memories they dont want to sort.
