“Scully, what are you wearing?”
Now that Paramount is under the control of pro-MAGA forces, presumably the next Star Trek film will be about how wokeness is destroying the Federation, Khan did nothing wrong, and there were fine people on both sides of the Cardassian subjugation of the Bajorans

Flynn admitted under penalty of perjury he did the things he was accused of. Now he wants a fat payday for being charged for doing the illegal things he admitted he did.
They’re all just looting the treasury now

It turns out some state legislators—who in no way answer to the president—do not being given orders by someone who isn’t their boss.

Indiana likely will not push forward with redistricting despite pressure from White House
It’s a massive blow to the White House’s efforts to shore up a Republican House majority next year.

This may be Trump's perfect social media post. A true work of art. He confirms:

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

Bonus points for connecting it to investigation of his fondness for Putin.👀

“The dog that didn’t bark” is a reference to a clue in a Sherlock Holmes story. The dog barked at strangers, but on the night of the crime, there was no barking. Which means the culprit was someone the dog knew.

Instead of doing anything to address inflation and affordability, Trump has pivoted to his favorite defense mechanism: lying. He is now claiming polls showing Americans are anxious about the economy are "fake."

Nothing screams "I'm innocent" like begging members of Congress to vote not to release the Epstein files

Trump touted that this year's Walmart Thanksgiving basket is 25 percent cheaper than last year's. Yeah, about that ...

Trump keeps touting a Thanksgiving meal basket from Walmart that's 25% cheaper. But it has half as many items as last year | Fortune
This year's basket includes just 15 items compared to last year's 29. It is missing many dessert items, including a pecan pie, mini marshmallows and muffin mix.

This is the fifth anniversary of Apple Silicon. When announced, reporters rolled their eyes at what seemed to be fanciful and overstated claims of high performance with low energy and thermal cost.

Ten milquetoast Senate Democrats gave in to Republicans for what amounts to a sack of magic beans. The promise to reopen the government in exchange for a vote on ACA premium subsidies which, if it ever happens at all, is guaranteed to fail. So these 10 suckers got nothing of value in return.

Trump was loudly booed for two minutes at yesterday’s Commanders game. The pro-fascist founder of MAGA hate group Libs of Tik Tok wasted no time calling for the arrest (for what?) of Americans exercising their constitutional rights.

The article only briefly flirts with the fact that these houses were very often not the “cribs” of the celebrities at all. Yes, many of the furnishings were staged, but in some cases, they were rental properties the celebrity was briefly staying at or rented just for the show.
Twenty-five years after the premiere of “MTV Cribs,” the ostentatious lifestyles it spotlighted feel quaint. Kim Hew-Low examines the show’s influence on a now-pervasive genre—the house tour:
The Show That Launched a Thousand House Tours
On "MTV Cribs," celebrities packaged and sold their wealthy lifestyles to the world.

If 10 milquetoast Democrats are surrendering affordable health care premiums for the promise of considering affordable health care premiums in the future … I mean, what planet are they living on if they think the MAGA Party will honor its word? They have no sense of shame at all.

The reason why paying off your credit card in full *lowers* your credit score is because credit card companies don’t want you to pay off your balance every month. They want you to carry a balance, which they then charge interest on. That’s one major way they make money.

Trump continues to not only withhold SNAP benefits but orders states not to even attempt to provide those benefits while simultaneously holding lavish parties for his rich friends at his private club and mansion. Either he’s completely tone deaf or is actively trolling.

Adelita Grijalva was elected to the House six weeks ago. MAGA Mike Johnson has repeatedly, affirmatively refused to swear her in and tried to justify this refusal.

By pure coincidence I’m sure, she would be the last vote necessary to get a vote to the floor to release the Epstein files.

“The president is fighting tooth and nail to avoid paying for food benefits for poor people while the government is shut down because he doesn’t want people to have affordable health care” is one heck of a headline. He will almost certainly spend the weekend golfing.

A pharmaceutical executive fainted at a big Oval Office press conference today, and Trump just stood there, doing nothing, waiting for attention to return to him.

The problem with the claim that the court would be hamstringing the presidency if it “took away” his authority to unilaterally impose tariffs under IEEPA is that the whole question is whether he had that authority in the first place.
November 6, 2025 at 9:04 PM
If this Supreme Court doesn’t strike Trump’s tariffs after beating Biden over the head for four years with the so-called major questions doctrine, we’ll know we’re well and truly screwed: Unlimited power for Republican presidents, no power at all for Democratic ones.
