Vaccinate. I do not understand the fear mongering around these medical miracles. The quack that said vaccines cause autism was a charlatan and the paper was retracted. What I do see is a lot of scientific illiteracy. Antivaxxers can hurt a lot of other people.

Excellent points here. It is about the bigger system. This is a challenging ($$$, 🕰️) but vital component to assessing success of reef restoration efforts, and why partnerships are important. Managers are more likely to have long term monitoring programs.

A Trumper asked me today if I was one of those nutjobs trying to save polar bears.

My reply I think shocked him: No. The polar bears are already dead bears walking/swimming. We can't save them. They will go extinct in the wild. At this point, we're just trying to keep agriculture from collapsing.
