BBC Radio Scotland reframing rent controls as the market working under different conditions actually made me laugh out loud. Homes are for living not profiteering or protecting the market or anything else…living, providing safe, affordable housing is a necessity greens.scot/save-rent-co...

I'm disgusted that contractors have demolished protected bird nesting sites during the breeding season in Burntisland.

Forth Ports need to come clean about whether they ordered contractors to take the old BiFab hanger down killing flightless juvenile birds and destroying dozens of nesting sites.

In one case a landlord tried to raise rent by a staggeringly unaffordable 121%, from £520 to £1150!

Over the last year the rent cap has kept increases to a maximum of 12%. But the SNP allowed it to expire this morning.

They must reinstate the renters protections immediately.
