The [paid, out-of-state] signature gatherers in Washington have complained about harassment as they gather signatures to take away the rights of trans kids and make them afraid to go to school, and let Christians prevent other people's kids from reading books they don't like.

Boo fuckin hoo.
Floridians were preparing new popular initiatives on behalf of Medicaid expansion, abortion rights, and other matters. Earlier this year, a new state law made these efforts a lot tougher, threatening volunteers with investigations and criminal punishment.
A New Crackdown on Ballot Initiatives Unnerves Florida Organizers
The new Republican law threatens volunteers with more investigations and criminal punishment, even as Ron DeSantis faces allegations of illegally meddling in ballot measures.

The soccer cartel made up a peace trophy and gave it to Trump as he's about to start a war

So here's what that looks like
Person who actually deserves a trophy is the artist who made the FIFA peace prize trophy look like everyone in the entire world holding their head in their hands out of secondhand embarrassment

Dear peasants,

We're cornering the market like Disney before us.

Please don't call your Congressional representatives to complain about media consolidation, and rest assured the poorly lit content paste will flow (courtesy of unpaid humans and AI slop).

Fuck you.

Republicans are at odds about how to handle the white-nationalist influencer Nick Fuentes’s encroachment into their ranks, @alibreland.bsky.social writes. He asked Fuentes about being the center of a crisis in American conservatism:

The reckoning with the white-nationalist influencer’s rise is only getting messier.

Hey, Republicans? You made this happen.

You stole the Supreme Court and legalized voter suppression and partisan gerrymandering and sent literal soldiers into California to stand around holding their dicks so you can pretend there's a riot everywhere that queer people live.

Fuck. You. Own this.
Prop 50 was called the moment that polls closed in California. The blowout showed how showing up to fight is the most important thing in Democratic politics right now.
It also means that (pending SCOTUS) Dems have largely neutralized Trump's gerrymandering push.

California Democrats Win Redistricting Measure, Prove That Resistance Works - The American Prospect
The win, combined with several mid-cycle surprises, has weakened Trump’s shield against accountability for his unpopular reign, although the Supreme Court really holds the key to whether we’ll have so...

They released big dumb dork glasses that can talk to you badly about how to take the ingredients you've already purchased and prepared and set out onto your counter and then pour them into a bowl

How can the public not see the immense value in such a thing

The nice thing about this is that any future president who feels like naming it the "Donald J Trump is a Criminal Who Can Get Fucked In Hell Room" may do so, based on the "cuz I said so" doctrine. Or take a shit on it and knock it down.

There's no reason why any of this has to "stick", really.
OF COURSE he will.

This rhetoric also collapses in the face of suggestions to tackle childhood hunger, industrial polluters, or lack of access to healthcare (including vaccination which prevents disease).

It always boils down to:
-"It's okay if other people's shitty inferior kids die"
and
-"Buy my supplements"

I genuinely do not care that Trump wrecked part of the White House.

It's a musty old building.

It's not special or important.

AS EVIDENCED.
BY TRUMP HIMSELF.
LIVING AND WORKING IN IT.

Making the White House look like what he's done to the office and the Constitution is A-OK by me.

Hey, kinda seems like the Constitution is dead, doesn't it?

This robber baron prick is stealing our tax dollars and denying them to us because we didn't vote for him.

Under his oath of office, he does not have this power.
And if he takes this power, then he's the President of jack shit.
Trump is upfront in saying he will use the shutdown to punish Democrats, and here are the receipts. About $27.2 billion cut from Dem districts compared to about $0.7 billion in GOP districts.
