For those who can, here are links to donate directly to local efforts on the ground resisting ICE's terrorizing of Minneapolis. Let me know what you donated to where, and I'll match it until I get a panicked call from my bank!

Just a friendly reminder that we don't have rights. We have privileges that are in effect until they become inconvenient to the people in charge.

Working on the new book today. Writing about TV dads takes me on a trip down memory lane, not just for the TV nostalgia, but I'm also reflecting on things in my own life as they relate to my relationship with my dad (not a great one). I think people will really respond to this one.

According to PEN America, these were among the most frequently banned books last year. Banning books doesn’t protect readers; it silences voices and limits choice. The answer isn’t removal, but conversation and context.

Just turned in my annual best of list. 14pgs. If you've ever considered contributing to the @flmfrkcentral.bsky.social fund, just the smelling salt budget at HQ is outrageous.

This is coming from a place of love and support, but…

It’s ‘shoo-in,’ not ‘shoe-in.’

It’s ‘case in point,’ not ‘case and point.’

It’s ‘moot point,’ not ‘mute point.’

It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’

It’s ‘jibe with,' not 'jive with.'

I gotta go do a thing in like, 20 minutes that I haven't had to do in about 25 years.

No, it isn't eating vegetables.

It's very telling that the events of WWII are repeating just as the generation who fought in the war and remember the horrors of that time are either dead or end-of-life.

I'm working on a new book about TV dads and father figures. Like my previous books, I'm going to be doing a lot of interviews. If you have written for, worked on (acted) in a show featuring a strong father figure, or are a person that covers TV for a living, I'd love to speak with you! Hit me up!

We're told that after the war
The Nazis vanished without a trace
But battalions of fascists
Still dream of a master race
The history books they tell
Of their defeat at '45
But they all came out of the woodwork
On the day the Nazi died

I have a comic script I wrote that I would love some feedback on from someone actively writing comics. I have no intention to sell the script. It was a practice run to see if I could complete it. This isn't a pitch. This is just one writer looking for feedback from another.

I've got a couple of nonfiction books out about #indiefilm marketing and using #ttrpg mechanics in storytelling. I also have a fiction short story in an anthology that dropped last month.

Please consider buying one or all of them.

Found an old piece of fanfiction I posted 20 years ago on the internet. I grabbed it and saved a copy.

As a story, it's not half bad. It's not half good either, but a little updating would fix that.

Jacy's Christmas shopping Guide. The first book (still available) I ever wrote, and still my most popular. Now up to 12 in the series.

Who to buy it for: People who like zombies but hate how they're done today. People who don't get all whiny when a main character dies... horribly. A gateway book
