Milestone reached today. This morning I weighed in at 140kg, a couple mins ago I deadlifted 140kg. This time last year I was 200kg. I am amazed I was able to get this high despite the deficit, altho it's clearly starting to affect squat. Goals: 100kg bw&220kg deadlift (my prev. PR)

Every single winter I go through the same cycle of denial about low humidity. Last year I trashed all my tiny shitty humidifiers. I've had so many issues that are related to humidity tho that I just got an office-sized humidifier and instantly my nose, lips and head feel better lmao

At the end of my day, when america wakes up, my feed is all cats, then when I wake up and America was all productive and shit, it's all gamedev posts. This works perfect for my addled brain.

One thing BlueSky really needs is the ability to mute users depending on username and bio content. Relying on lists that have to be updated and approved by a human means it wont scale. Give me more power to ignore those I don't wish to be a part of my feed.

After a big round of using labelers, mutelists and the other plentitude of self moderation options bluesky offers my Discover page only consists of cats and gamedev posts and I couldn't be happier. I really underestimated the usefulness of labelers, but dayum they are nice.

My god what's happening to my squat. I know I'm on an insane deficit for 6+ months, but first failure was at 120kg a month ago and today I couldn't even do more than 1 rep of 97.5kg which was supposed to be a 5 rep. Other lifts still progressing. I guess squats are just THAT demanding on the system.

Other lifts still progressing. I guess squats are just THAT demanding on the system.
Not used to seeing any contributions on my gh profile ever since I switched to leading multiple teams and managing engineers 4 years ago, but over the new year break I started porting a 12+ year old passion project to #godot and I think this proves to myself that I still enjoy coding.

I suck at anything UI. It all takes so much longer than making complex systems, so when I managed to create fully working character creation today, which will probably be the most involved screen in the game, I gotta say I feel a bit proud of myself. #gamedev #godot #solodev

Looking back at 2024 it was a pretty insane year for me. Jobless for a quarter for the first time in my life, but managed to get surgery, lost 50 kg and finally got a handle on my mental health and financial literacy. Built a home gym, and at my strict budget only 6 months left before debt free.

What I really appreciate about Bluesky is that it gives control to the user to self-moderate. Too many apps just push their values and algorithms and I feel like many people nowadays want to be told what to think and it's very damaging. Sick of a topic or word? Mute it temp or perma.
