The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.
Analysis by The Marshall Project of ICE data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found that the Trump administration’s revival of family detention has swept thousands of children into ICE custody. At least 3,800 children under 18, including 20 infants, have been booked since Trump took office.
ICE Threw Thousands of Kids in Detention, Many For Longer Than Court-Prescribed Limit
Former immigration staffers argue ICE is choosing to detain families for prolonged periods to speed deportations and compel them to leave.

“What people are doing here is beautiful. It's a tragic beauty, but a real one.”

Amidst all the horrors, here is a hope-affirming thread about Minneapolis:
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

It's genuinely a leaderless (or leaderful) movement, decentralized in a way that the state is absolutely unequipped to handle. There are a few basic skills involved, and so people teach each other those skills, and people are collectively refining them.

Jessica Baker was raped by Jacob Hoggard. She got a conviction, he's currently in prison and she says if she had to do it again, she wouldn't. And if a friend was raped, she'd tell her not to report.

And this is a woman who by most definitions, "got justice."

The system does not serve us.

Last week, in response to international pressure, X announced it was restricting Grok's ability to edit people into revealing clothes. That has not stopped the rampant trend of sexual harassment via Grok edits. The culture around GenAI is firmly rooted in abuse.

I was stalked for over a decade by an abusive ex and it took yeaaaars for me to call him a stalker. The reality was wayyyyyy too terrifying to say with my full chest, so I'd minimize it. "If I tell myself and others that it's NBD, then it'll stay NBD."

This is a super common reality with stalking!
Stalking isn't talked about as much as other forms of violence which contributes to many victims/survivors feeling unsure or confused.

Stalking behaviour can also be really bizarre! Or can be too scary to name directly.

It's important for allies to read between the lines so you can be supportive
