Film fan, reviewer, Aussie lad just here for a good time.
Maybe it’s just me, but perhaps we should stop purposely pointing cameras at people attending public sporting and concert events.

The film that turned studying Shakespeare into sexytime, Baz Luhrmann’s adenalised ROMEO + JULIET is a fascinating and audacious second feature film by any metric. My latest review:

As big a dick swing as cinema can handle, MEGALOPOLIS is a remarkable dumpster fire. Impossible to recommend, but certainly worth watching. My review:

These pieces were actually created as a panorama, and I painted both artworks as one. This way, two cards side by side will match perfectly! I’m wondering if they will correspond to each other gameplay-wise ? Do you think it’s possible ?

When they finally release both Wicked films on disc, I want a version that has a no-holds-barred documentary like the LOTR appendicies about the history, influence and legacy of the stage show but also in-depth making of the films.

We talk about DEEP IMPACT/ARMAGEDDON but we've forgotten 1982 & 83's strange trend of boring white dudes becoming pimps

Imma mute the suspects name so it no longer appears in my TL and then I can continue to believe he’s still on the run and will never be caught.

Masterful silent epic BEN HUR: A TALE OF THE CHRIST is simply staggering, a monumentally expensive (and troubled) production that throws every cent up on the screen; don't underestimate the surprises in store for you in this one.

It’s been a week already and tbh I didn’t think we’d have a foreign regime change to watch.

Omg I’d love to have seen the version with Tom Cruise playing a character with so few lines of dialogue. Inconceivable.
🎉 EDWARD SCISSORHANDS turns 34-years old today

Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Edward has only 169 words of dialogue. The character’s hairstyle was inspired by Robert Smith of The Cure. Before Depp, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, and Michael Jackson were considered for the role

Despite being dumber than a rock from the floor of the Coliseum, and nowhere near the quality of the Oscar-winning original, Ridley Scott's GLADIATOR II is a wildly entertaining epic. My full review in the link:

William Powell’s uncredited cameo in THE CASINO MURDER CASE (1935) is one of those rare gems where a former franchise lead hands a role onto a new one, and it made me spit out my drink with a cackle of delight.

For a company that loved to use “The Real Thing” as a promotional slogan, it really shit the bed with that godawful AI slop commercial. What a joke of a company.

On this day in 1945, DETOUR hit theaters. No matter how many times I revisit it, Edgar G. Ulmer's bleak, grimy noir masterpiece and Ann Savage's go-for-broke performance as Vera remain startlingly, perversely enthralling.

Netflix cancelling ARCANE after only two season is fucking nuts. Show should easily go seven to ten seasons. Just incredible.
